During Citrix Synergy Citrix released ShareFile Storage Zones Connectors, this enables you to re-use your existing data sources and not having to migrate your data to the follow-me-data solution you’re implementing. I already wrote a blogpost on Follow me data and so did Marco Drost with his ‘On Premises dropbox‘ but with the introduction of storage zones and storage zones connectors we’re really leveraging the full potential of this solution.

I just got home from another exciting Citrix Synergy Barcelona with a lot of new announcements and surely lots of new information to process. While I was processing all the new information I wondered about the components of these three projects and how people should position these projects so I decided to write a blog post about Citrix Project Avalon, Merlin and Excalibur. At the moment I’m bulding a new PVS/XA based environment with RES AM and RES WM in combination with APP-V 4.6 SP1 but when the App-V team sequenced the first application they received:App-V error 0A-0000E01E: An Unexpected error has occured. So I googled and found a support article but after changing the reg key on the client it still gave this error.

So next week Citrix Synergy 2012 will be held in Barcelona, I’m scheduled to fly on Sunday in the afternoon and I’ll be joining Remko Weijnen and Ingmar Verheij for some tapa’s when I’ve landed and dropped my stuff of at the hotel (I’m staying in the AC hotel which is near the International Convention Centre of Barcelona (CCIB) btw).
