For an upcoming presentation I’m installing the VMware View Composer on a Windows 2008 R2 box and being fairly new to the VMware View architecture I just thought I should click and go… Ok, maybe I should have looked into the manual but where’s the fun in that :). In all honesty: the VMware documentation is good and well written so if I would have read the guides I probably wouldn’t ran into these problems.

On a Microsoft MDT 2012 Update 1 installation that had worked during a test period we needed to deploy a new batch of laptops with a different product number as this batch was different from our tests because the fingerprint readers were removed from the device.

Opening MMS via a URL in Windows Media Player on Citrix XenApp 6.5
I was configuring a Citrix XenApp 6.5 farm and we created some instruction video’s for the users to get used to the new interface and structure, we offered those video’s (*.wmv) via a URL on a streaming server via MMS. So far so good but when clicking on the button linking to the wmv’s files the wmv’s wouldn’t start. Apparently this is a common problem because Citrix released a kb article on it: Citrix XenApp 6 is Unable to Open MMS Files
Citrix Single Sign-On experienced an error during initialization
At one of my projects I was configuring Citrix Single sign-on and the config and install went pretty smooth, the Citrix XenApp farm was configured with Citrix Single sign-on within a couple of hours but we had to install the client on the desktops and laptops too.
